Here at Short Order, we've spent the last week expounding upon our Christmas wishes, but what about local chefs? Here's what four told us was on their Christmas wish list. Surprisingly -- or maybe not -- most of them have little to do with food.

"A line cook who lasts more than a month in the small Red Light kitchen!!!" ~ Kris Wessel, chef/owner of Red Light.

"I wish I can teach my three-year-old son to eat a variety of foods.

Being a chef, it kills me that he eats only a few different things and he

is so picky!" ~ Dena Marino, former chef at D19 in Aspen, now working on opening a restaurant in Miami.

"I've

had one pressure filled schedule this year and would love to spend some

un-rushed, un-hurried time with my family; no work, no worries." ~ Richard Hales, chef/owner Sakaya Kitchen and Dim Ssäm á GoGo.

"I wish for 50k in unmarked bills. That and world peace." ~ Jeremiah Bullfrog, chef/owner gastroPod Miami.
