Top Chef Elizabeth Falkner is bringing her talents across the United States for a special three-day, pop-up event at the Miami Culinary Institute on August 23 to 25.

Falkner has appeared on Top Chef Masters and The Next Iron Chef.

The west cost resident is currently planning on moving her talents to the East Coast, specifically Brooklyn, with the opening of Krescendo which will feature southern Italian fare. Falkner recently closed her two successful San Francisco restaurants, Citizen Cake and Orson, to make the move east.

On her way to the Big Apple, Falkner is serving some of her favorite menu items from Krescendo at the Miami pop-up. Each evening, a multi-course dinner will be served family-style, complete with wine pairings. A cocktail hour, featuring libations hand-crafted by mixologist Darren Crawford, will precede the dinner.

The dinners with wine pairings and cocktails are $90 (including taxes and gratuity) and are available through LivingSocial. Each intimate dinner starts at 8:30 p.m., with cocktails at 7:30 p.m. Only 140 tickets will be sold for each evening.

In

addition, chef Falkner will host a nightly VIP cooking demonstration

before each dinner service. The cooking demo starts at 6:30 p.m. at the

institute's state-of-the-art culinary theatre, where guests will receive

a glass of sparkling wine and a signed pre-release of Falkner's latest

book, Cooking Off The Clock. The VIP event is $130 (including taxes and

gratuity) and includes dinner at the pop-up.

We're thinking if Miami shows chef Falkner some love, she might just want to stay. After all, Miami needs good Italian food as much as Brooklyn does.

The menu (subject to change) includes:

Aperitivi
Panelle, chick pea fritters

Olive fritte, fried olives with marjoram

Arrancini

Focaccia griglia

Taralli

Late summer caponata

Mozzarella caprese

First course

Insalata of chicories and peaches with ricotta salata and hazelnut vinaigrette

Second Course
Meatballs with pomodoro

Potato gnocchi with pesto

Fregola con le sarde

Involtini de melanzane

Roasted broccolini and cauliflower with garlic and chilis

Assorted Sicilian cookies
