Founders CBS is a rare, highly sought-after beer. It received a perfect 100 on both Beer Advocate and Ratebeer.com websites. The beer is so rare that it hasn't been made since 2011.

In fact, it's so rare, that Founders didn't even bother to bottle it this time around, says David Rodriguez, the co-owner of Kush. In beer geek speak, a brew such as this is so rare and elusive that it is often referred to as a "whale" or a "great white buffalo", according to Rodriguez.

Founders CBS (Canadian breakfast stout) is a blend of coffees and imported chocolates that is aged in spent bourbon barrels once used to hold Michigan maple syrup.

Rodriguez says he is getting more than just a slim keg, or 1/6 of a barrel. Instead he has a quarter barrel of CBS, which should equal roughly 165 pours. The beer will be served in a six-ounce snifter at $9 a piece. It's a heavy brew sitting at 10.6 alcohol-by-volume.

Just a few years ago, Rodriguez could not have even dreamed of finding Founders CBS anywhere remotely close to Miami.

"Distribution out here is getting better and better," Rodriguez said.

The tapping begins at 6 p.m. Here's a list of the rest of the Founders tap takeover:

  • Nitro Oatmeal Stout
  • Backwoods Bastard
