Altanta-based SweetWater Brewing Company is bringing its craft beers to Miami.
To expand its brand, SweetWater is putting the finishing touches on its newly expanded brewhouse, which quadruples the brewery's capacity.
More beer means the ability to open new markets, so SweetWater has
announced it will expand its distribution to a handful of new markets, including South Florida.
The beers will be distributed in Miami
by Gold Coast Beverage, and you'll begin seeing them in bars and
retail establishments as early as May.
Though SweetWater produces six year-round brews and a half-dozen seasonal varieties, Miami will be introduced to the brand slowly.
Expect
to first see their flagship 420 extra-pale ale at the grocer and the
brewpub, followed by their Blue and IPA shortly thereafter. Short Order will update readers with an exact release date when it becomes available.
SweetWater Brewing Company was founded by Freddy Bensch and Kevin McNerney, roommates at the University of Colorado, Boulder. The friends, who fell in love with beer and fishing, moved to Atlanta and opened SweeWater in 1997.
