Giselle Pinto, Miami's Sugar Yummy Mama, is the baker with the pink van and television host good looks who came onto the Miami food truck scene in 2011. Almost instantly, our city was charmed in equal parts by Pinto's smile, cupcakes, and her cake pops.

Now, the bakestress is opening her own Wynwood window at 2600 N. Miami Ave. There, fans of Pinto's treats will be able pick up their favorite goodies quickly, hopefully by November 1.
Pinto says that she's been wanting to open something in line with Sugar Yummy Mama's concept of urban, practical, and fun desserts. "Many of our customers kept asking us for a place to pick up our goodies on a regular basis. We thought about many locations, but it had to be special and in line with our 'gordita' van that's small, but with the capacity to reach gourmet palates."
Pinto plans to offer her cupcakes in both regular and mini sizes in flavors like her signature guava, berry berry yummy, choco hard (topped with chocolate ganache), black tie (topped with chocolate fudge), tiramisu, red velvet, monkeylicious (banana with Nutella,; pinky bacon (bacon in a maple/green apple/praline sauce in a maple cream cheese topping), candy jalapeño (jalapeños with chocolate butter cream and strawberry), naughty Nutella (vanilla cake filled with Nutella), real royal Oreo, dulcita de leche, va-vanilla; and lovely lemon.
In addition to cupcakes, Pinto will also have macarons in berry, apricot, chocolate, hazelnut, white chocolate, pistacho, Lemon, lavender, rose, mango, and passion fruit; banana pudding; alfajores (Latin-American cookies filled with caramel); and pies, including Pinto's own Sticky Lips pie. Of course, Sugar Yummy Mama's cake pops will also be available. Individual treats will run from $1.95 - $4.75, with prices on cakes and pies varying on size.
Pinto will also take requests for custom cakes. In fact, there's a special back door for brides-to-be to get special treatment for their big day. (Though, an appointment must be made in advance.)
Once the place is open, Pinto plans on being open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, "but if someone shows up earlier and I'm there I will make sure we have something to make that person's day sweeter."
