Oh, yes, if you're an American Express cardholder you can already buy tickets on the festival website.
Dim Sum and Disco
This event debuted last year and Lee Klein deemed it his favorite event of the festival.
It returns this year at the same place (The Setai) with the same host,
Ming Tsai, who will prepare lots of dim sum with local chefs Richard
Hales of Sakaya Kitchen, Gregory Yu of Tropical Chinese, and Keyvan
Behnam of China Grill, as well as Joe Ng of New York's Red Farm.
When: Friday, February 25, 11:00 pm - 2 am
Where: The Setai
Price: $150
Michael's Genuine Food & Drink Brunch at Sea with Jonathan Waxman
There's no denying that brunch at Michael's Genuine is one of the city's
best Sunday morning treats. For this festival event, chef Michael
Schwartz and pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith take their act to sea aboard The
Biscayne Lady. And they're bringing chef Jonathan Waxman of New York's Barbuto along.
What's not to like about brunch on the water on a Miami winter day?
When: Sunday, February 27, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Where: Biscayne Lady
Price: $125
Taste Wine Like a Master Sommelier
Some may not realize it but aside from the glitzy parties and
high-priced dinners, the festival has a series of educational seminars.
For wine enthusiasts who want to show off their wine smarts, master sommeliers share their techniques and take
participants through a double blind wine tasting.
When: Sunday, February 27, 11 am - 12:30 pm
Where: Gansevoort South Beach
Price: $100
Barilla Interactive Lunch with Bryan and Michael Voltaggio
If cooking along isn't your thing, skip this. But if you have no problem
sharing a table with strangers and trusting them - and yourself - to
cook the dishes that chefs on stage are preparing, this is a fun event.
Leading the cooking this year is Top Chef season seven winner Michael
Voltaggio, and his brother Bryan, also a Top Chef contestant and
runner-up. Just hope that they get experimental.
When: Saturday, February 26, Noon - 2:30 pm
Where: The Biltmore Hotel
Price: $150
Shine & Swine
Not many details have been released yet but it's a party, at the swanky W
hotel, and there's swine involved. Sounds good to us.
When: Thursday, February 24, 11 pm - 2 am
Where: The W Hotel
Price: $100
