It's January, and while most of the rest of the country is freezing its collective ass off this weekend, you can spend Saturday basking in warm sunshine while learning about plant-based living at Sense Beach House's stunning rooftop -- all for free.
Attendees at Sense's Plant-Theory Living Cuisine Workshop will get schooled on the ins and outs of a healthier lifestyle, detoxing, juicing and other good stuff to help keep those New Year's resolutions intact.

The workshop will be hosted by local nutrition expert Sheryn Abalos, known for her expertise with organic edibles. The purpose is to help folks on their journey towards a healthier lifestyle, says Sense Beach House General Manager Patricia Trias.
"The goal of the workshop is to teach guests about the benefits of organic living cuisine and to provide them with simple recipes and steps to incorporate into their everyday lifestyle," explains Trias.
"The seminar will touch on the topics of pH balance importance and alkaline vs. acid, as well as the root cause of many common diseases. Sheryn will also share tools and tips for detoxifying your body, kitchen and home."
Trias adds that this is the first of many wellness-focused initiatives coming up this year, so if you can't make this one, you'll have plenty more chances.
"Proper nutrition is the key to healthy living and so many of us don't know enough about how our diet and nutrition affect our daily lives."
The Plant-Theory Living Cuisine Workshop is taking place Saturday, January 31, at Sense Beach House, 400 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free with RSVP to [email protected] or 305-987-3624.
