During last year's South Beach Wine and Food Festival, the owners of Uruguay's Parador La Huella gave a select few a taste of what's to come at their new Miami restaurant.

Now it's been revealed that Quinto La Huella, the Miami outpost of the Uruguayan restaurant, is set to open winter 2015 at East Miami hotel at Brickell City Centre.

Parador La Huella was placed on the Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list twice, making it the most formidable restaurant in Uruguay, calling it a "breezy seaside grill, whose high-end beach shack appearance speaks of lazy lounging and barefoot walks along the sand." The restaurant, located on Brava Beach in a small town about 100 miles from Montevideo, is noted for doing up to 1,000 covers a day.

Now, owners Gustavo Barbero, Martin Pittaluga, and Guzman Artagaveytia have chosen Miami, the gateway to the Americas, for their first restaurant outside of Uruguay. The restaurant will be located on the fifth floor of the new hotel and will feature indoor and outdoor seating, beautiful views of Miami and Biscayne Bay, a stone oven hearth, and a sushi bar.

Although Quinto La Huella's menu has not been set, if the flagship location is an indication, expect plenty of fresh seafood and beef. In an interview with New Times, partner Gustavo Barbero says he's looking forward to bringing the heat. "We want to bring fire to Miami. So, they're designing a restaurant for us that will allow us to do it. We'll have two mud ovens that work with live fire. And Uruguayan beef," he says.

The space is designed by Los Angeles-based Studio Collective, which has also undertaken the hotel's rooftop bar, Sugar. East will also host Domain, a lobby cafe and bar, which will feature freshly brewed coffee, and a bar featuring fine wines and spirits.

East Miami is part of Swire Properties' Brickell City Center, the $1.05 billion, mixed-use development project in Brickell. This is the third East hotel, with the first two located in Hong Kong and Beijing. East Miami will offer 352 guest rooms, including eight suites, and will feature paperless arrival and departure service, complimentary WiFi throughout the property for guests, a 20,000-square-foot outdoor deck with four different pool experiences and a bar, meeting rooms, and Beast, the hotel's 24-hour-a-day gym.

Brickell City Centre will also feature a luxury dine-in theater from Mexico City-based Cinemex; a Pubbelly Sushi; and a Pasion del Cielo, according to an additional press release. Both Pubbelly Sushi and Pasion del Cielo will open in Fall 2016 at the centre's 500,000 square-foot shopping center.
