Yogurt, in some form or another, will never disappear. Just when we think the Fro-Yo trend has surely jumped the shark, we're proven wrong with the expansion of Pinkberry.

Of course, who in their right mind doesn't love frozen yogurt? Which is basically a way to eat a cold, creamy treat while feeling better about yourself than if you downed, say, a few pints of Ben & Jerry's in the middle of the night.

With that in mind, Pinkberry has announced the opening of its fourth Miami-area store. The new shop opens September 27 in Midtown Miami at 3401 N. Miami Avenue, in the former Yogurbella space. Pinkberry already has locations in Aventura, Kendall, and on Ocean Drive.

For those of you who live in South Beach but don't stray from the west side of town, good news is traveling your way with the addition of another Pinkberry on Alton Road in the works (further details aren't available, but the expected opening is December 2013).

Of course, Pinkberry has a loyal fan base that can't get enough of its yogurt, which includes more than 15 flavors that change with the season and range from grapefruit to gingerbread to chocolate hazelnut.

Of course, what's a nice cup of healthful frozen yogurt if you can't top it with lots of stuff? That's why the company offers fresh fruit, granolas, nuts, and chocolates -- none of which contain high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, and transfats!

And if you're in the small minority that prefers your yogurt the old fashioned way (you know -- non-frozen), take heart because Pinkberrygreek is the company's foray into the Greek yogurt craze. Packed with 15 grams of protein per five ounce serving and no added sugar, it's a good post-workout treat that the most dedicated hard body can still enjoy.

Pinkberry Midtown will be open Sunday - Thursday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. - midnight.
