Paul and Young Ron might know everything about being the funniest people to every hit the radio airwaves, but did you know they're also beer aficionados?

In fact, they love beer so much, they've taken over the fourth annual New Times' Brew at the Zoo, renaming our home brew section the "Paul and Young Ron Brewers Ally".

They're also holding a competition to see which Paul and Young Ron Show listener makes the best home brew in the first ever Paul and Young Ron Home Brewer Competition.

Paul and Young Ron want to taste your home beer -- be it a Lauderdale lager made with fresh guava or a St. Pauli Boy beer (which, by the way, is the name of Paul Castronovo's own home brew attempt).

To enter, send an email to [email protected] with "Brew at the Zoo" in the subject line. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, name of your home brew, and key ingredient or flavor.

A number of homebrewers will be chosen to come down to the Paul and Young Ron studios for a final taste-off on Wednesday, May 1, where Paul Castronovo and Ron Brewer will actually try the beers and name a winner. The Paul and Young Ron Homebrew Champion will get all the bragging rights that come with that awesome title.

In addition, the winner will have a featured spot with a speaking opportunity in the homebrew alley, where attendees will sample their beer. They'll also be featured on New Times Brew at the Zoo website, Facebook and in a thank you ad in New Times.

The Paul and Young Ron Homebrew Champion will get their very own sampling table at the May 4th New Times Brew at the Zoo and will be provided with a table, two chairs, lighted tent, signage and two staff badges. We could go on all day, but we should just let Paul and Young Ron explain:

Brew at the Zoo happens Saturday, May 4, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Zoo Miami. Sample brews from more than 100 vendors, eat good food, listen to a live concert by Naughty by Nature and check out the all new Paul and Young Ron Brewers Alley. Tickets are $35 prepaid online through May 4, at 2 p.m.; $45 at the door for general admission. VIP tickets, which allow you an extra hour of beer time and access to the exclusive VIP area, are $75 prepaid online through May 4, at 2 p.m.; $85 at the door.

Big1059 and Paul and Young Ron fans can take $10 off a GA or VIP ticket, good through this Sunday, April 28, at midnight by entering promo code PNYR2013 at newtimesbrewatthezoo.com.
