New Times' Original Beerfest returns to Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale. It's worth the trip!

On Saturday, Oct. 25 from 7 to 10 p.m., Esplanade Park gets taken over by 4,500 brew fans to sample more than 100 beers by some of the most innovative breweries in the world -- many of them in our own backyard, thanks to the emerging beer culture in Florida.

Commercial breweries, homebrewers, and beer enthusiasts will gather to offer both your favorite beers and rare small-batch creations from Big Storm Brewing Co., Cigar City Brewing, Daddy Brews, Florida Avenue IPA, Funky Buddha, Inlet Brewing Co., Miami Brewing Co., Opus Ales, Organic Brewery, and others.

In addition, Beerfest offers live entertainment from South Florida's best local bands.

Tickets for this 21-and-over event go on sale to the general public August 18, but New Times readers can take advantage of a special presale offer. Beginning today, August 12, at 10 a.m., you can purchase general admission tickets for $25 and VIP tickets for $65 on Ticketfly by using promo code MPREBEER3.

General admission includes unlimited sampling of beers. VIPs can get into Beerfest an hour early at 6 pm. and enjoy the special VIP lounge with complimentary spirits, food, and rare beers.
