My Ceviche opens its third location today.

The restaurant, which features freshly made ceviche from wild-caught seafood in a casual setting by an award-winning chef, comes to South Miami, with dine-in, take-out, and catering services. The 1,600-square-foot location, decorated in friendly citrus colors, seats 70 guests, including 26 seats on a patio. The restaurant, which opened its first shop in the spring of 2012 in a tiny South Beach space, is also planning a fourth location, in Coral Gables.

My Ceviche executive chef and COO Sam Gorenstein is excited to move My Ceviche into South Miami, saying, "The neighborhood has been growing over the last couple of years, and we can't wait to meet the community and offer them all of our awesome food."

Menu items at My Ceviche include salads, tacos, burritos, and bowls, but its signature dish is custom-made ceviche. Guests choose a seafood (fish, shrimp, or octopus) and then a style of ceviche, such as ají amarillo, Asian, or coconut). All ceviches are served with sweet potato, yellow corn, and a side of spiced popcorn and cost $11.75 for a medium portion and $14.75 for a large.

Although the restaurant opens for service today, an official ceremony, complete with ribbon cutting, is scheduled for August 15. At 11:30 a.m., South Miami Vice Mayor Walter Harris will do the honors. That day, 50 percent of sales will benefit the Child Development Center at South Miami Hospital, which provides medical treatment, therapy, and parent education to thousands of infants and children with developmental problems in the Miami area. "Our neighbors are the key to our success; they have supported us since day one," Gorenstein says. "Now we get to return the favor to the CDC at South Miami Hospital. We are here for our community."

My Ceviche is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
