Miami's favorite cheesy food truck, Ms. Cheezious, was named one of the ten finalists in the Live With Kelly and Michael's Truckin' Amazing Cook-Off, beating out dozens of other food trucks across the country to make it as one of the 20 semifinalists.

Those semifinalists were invited to produce a 30-second video to entice Kelly and Michael (and the fans at home) to vote for their truck's deliciousness. Ms. Cheezious' Brian Mullins tempted viewers with his house-smoked barbecue pork melt.

The sandwich, which featured pulled pork, cheddar cheese, and fried pickles, and described by Mullins as a "little south in your mouth," did the trick, because at just before 10 a.m. today, Kelly and Michael announced Ms. Cheezious as one of the finalists to be flown to New York City to cook for the hosts.

Mullins told Short Order he's "so thankful to everyone who voted for us. We can't wait to get to New York!"

So far, no date has been announced for Mullins' appearance on the morning talk show, but we'll share it as soon as we know. Two other Miami-area food trucks -- B.C. Tacos and Mojo on the Go -- made it to the TV contest's semifinals.
