Mignonette Opens
Mignonette opens its doors today, so you can finally have your fill of oysters Rockefeller, fresh seafood, and lots of Danny Serfer's signature vegetables. The intimate little oyster bar, a collaboration between Blue Collar's Serfer and blogger Ryan Roman, is open for lunch and dinner, so get there early (and stay late). Mignonette is open Sunday - Thursday for lunch from noon - 3 p.m.; dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday it's open for lunch from noon - 3 p.m.; dinner from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Hint: although everything on the menu looks amazing, order the croissants served with lobster butter and house-made mango jam. We predict they'll be the sleeper hit of the restaurant.
Marriage Equality Happy Hour at The Village Stand
We love this local Miami Shores shop for so many reasons. There's the plethora of locally made foodstuffs, the friendly country-store vibe, and their Friday night happy hours where you can have a complimentary glass of wine and actually meet your neighbors. Tonight, August 15, the shop is celebrating marriage equality from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. We'll raise a glass to that!
Happy Birthday, Wynwood Brewing
Wynwood Brewing Company turns one this weekend and they're celebrating with a mega block party. On Saturday, August 16, from noon - 5 p.m., celebrate with food trucks, DJ's art, and (duh) plenty of fresh, local, Wynwood beer. Beer tickets are $5 each, admission is free!
Rum-B-Cue at Broken Shaker
To celebrate National Rum Day, Broken Shaker is hosting a Rum-B-Cue, on Saturday, August 16. From 4 - 6 p.m., come out to the Shaker and enjoy free rum cocktails and barbecue courtesy of Atlantico rum; Chairman's Reserve; Diplomatico; and Miami Club Rum.
