Phuc Yea, Miami's original pop-up that drew crowds five years ago, has finally opened a permanent location at 7100 Biscayne Blvd. This weekend is your opportunity for a first bite at Ani Meinhold and Cesar Zapata's new eatery featuring Viet-Cajun food highlighting a mashup of Vietnamese and Cajun flavors. Start your long weekend by winding down with a cocktail in the lobby lounge, or enjoy an alfresco evening in the garden lantern lounge. Phuc Yea is open today from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Happy hour is tonight from 4 to 7 p.m., and brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Surfside's Community Beach Picnic
Start your Labor Day weekend early with an afternoon at the beach. Saffron Supper Club founders Sara Liss and Maude Eaton have created a monthly family-friendly shindig-by-the-sea that everyone can enjoy. Today from 4 to 7 p.m., enjoy live music from Brazilian band Batuke Samba Funk, cold-pressed juice from Raw Juice, and bites from Saffron Supper Club. Kids can join an interactive drum circle and have fun in the teepee village. Best of all, it's free. Reggae Family Fun Day at the Wynwood Yard
This Sunday, September 4, from noon to 2 a.m., have a chill day. Afternoon festivities include live performances by Jahfe and Kulcha Shok DJs, great food, and refreshing drinks. A suggested $5 donation will be collected at the door. 
Pincho Factory's Croquetesa Burger Returns
If you're hankering for meaty pleasures this weekend, head to Pincho Factory for its cult favorite — the croquetesa burger. This creation turns a burger patty into a croqueta and then tops it with cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard. The entire concoction rests inside a brioche bun. This burger was a hit at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, winning the People's Choice Award at the 2015 Burger Bash. If you want to try this only-in-Miami sandwich, it's available this weekend and throughout September.
