Hope you had some rest this week, because this weekend is filled with fun. Of course, Miami Music Week continues. It's also the first weekend of the Youth Fair. Seafood lovers can scarf down oysters at Traymore Gin Bar or eat the ocean's bounty at the Deering Seafood Festival. End the weekend with a backyard barbecue hosted by two of Miami's most creative chefs.

The weekend starts now!
Miami Music Week Late-Night Eats
Miami Music Week is in full swing, which means nonstop parties, dancing, and drinking. That also means sometime after midnight, you'll get hangry. Sure, there's Denny's for an emergency Grand Slam breakfast to sop up the alcohol, but you can do better than that. How about pâté on fresh French bread? Or the perfect cubano? Or a steaming bowl of ramen? Take a gander at New Times' top ten places to grab a late-night bite and never go hungry afterhours again.
The Youth Fair Returns — Time to Eat Things on a Stick
The Youth Fair returns for its 65th year, which means one thing: fair food! Sure, there are rides and shows and things to buy, but you're interested in the food. This year's trend seems to be things on a stick, so look for skewered offerings such as a meatball sub on a stick, Frosted Flakes-battered chicken on a stick, deep-fried funnel cake on a stick, and funnel bacon on a stick. The Youth Fair runs through Sunday, April 10, at Tamiami Park (Coral Way and SW 107th Avenue). The fair is open from 3 to 11 p.m. daily (except March 28 and 29 and April 4 and 5), and admission and ride ticket prices vary. Visit thefair.me
Traymore Gin Bar's Oysters & Champagne
If you're looking for fancy food and drinks (at very unfancy prices), head to the Traymore Gin Bar at the Metropolitan by COMO for its Saturday-evening Oysters & Champagne party. This Saturday, March 19, and every Saturday thereafter from 7 to 9 p.m., ladies drink Pommery Brut Royal champagne free. In addition, everyone can take advantage of $2 oysters.
Deering Seafood Festival on the Bay
This Sunday, March 20, enjoy all manner of sea creatures at the 12th-annual Deering Seafood Festival. Not only can you find shrimp, conch, crab, oysters, and fish dip, but you can also enjoy an authentic Bahamian Junkanoo parade, explore the grounds of the estate, and take a boat ride to Chicken Key. The fest runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Deering Estate at Cutler (16701 SW 72nd Ave., Palmetto Bay). Tickets cost $15 in advance and $25 at the gate. Kids’ tickets cost $5, and Deering Estate Foundation members get in free. Visit deeringestate.org for more information.
Alex Chang's Backyard Cookout Featuring Brad Kilgore
This Sunday, March 20, head to the Vagabond pool for a cookout by chefs Alex Chang and Brad Kilgore from 2 to 6 p.m. When these two chefs take to the grill, expect much more than hot dogs and burgers. Menu items include Korean short ribs, porchetta, and vegetarian options such as kimchee coleslaw and spring onion omelets with New Zealand spinach. Bites start at $4 each. Enjoy bourbon cocktails featuring Jim Beam and Basil Hayden's and live music by Deroboter. Admission is free with RSVP via Eventbrite.
