Happy Friday!

This weekend, head out and show Wynwood some love by shopping at the Wynwood Farmers Market, which has a new, larger home. Then enjoy some milk and cookies at the Wynwood Yard. Get healthy at Dr. Smood's organic Sunday brunch — but not before indulging in Burger Beast's Croquetapalooza tonight!

The weekend starts now!
Croquetapalooza
Celebrate Miami's official snack tonight, August 19, at Magic City Casino when Burger Beast presents Croquetapalooza. From 7 to 10 p.m., chow down on croquetas from more than a dozen South Florida restaurants, including Atlas, Breadman Miami, Doce Provisions, Dolores but You Can Call Me Lolita, Estefan Kitchen, Finka Table & Tap, La Fresa Francesca Petit Café, Ms. Cheezious, Palomilla Grill, Party Cake Bakery, Pinecrest Bakery, Trust & Co., Tucker Duke's, and Vicky Bakery. Of course, this being a Burger Beast event, you'll also find fritas and food and drinks by Chifles Mariquitas, Café La Rica, Materva, Jupiña, Fireman Derek, Hatuey Cuban-style beer, Night Owl Cookie Co., Ojala wine, PG Bakery, Tio Colo, and Tito's Vodka. Advance tickets cost $35 and include unlimited sampling for this 21-and-over event. Visit croquetapalooza.com to buy yours now.
Wynwood Farmers Market Gets a New Home
The Wynwood Farmers Market has a new home and a new vibe. The market has moved to NW 26th Street between Third and Fifth Avenues, an area with the capacity to host more vendors. This Saturday, expect 60 vendors selling everything from local fruit to crafts and ready-to-eat treats. In addition, chef Michael Lewis of Kyu will offer demonstrations on the art of smoking meats and will share samples of his cooking. Street performers and music add to the festival feeling. The Wynwood Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Milk and Cookie Day at the Wynwood Yard
The Wynwood Yard is showing some love for its supporters in the sweetest way possible: with milk and cookies. The Yard, which reopened last week, will host a cookie party. Resident food concepts will offer special milk-and-cookie deals: Della Test Kitchen will serve vegan, gluten-free chocolate chip cookies; Mr. Bing will have sweet milk shaved ice cream with crushed chocolate chips; the British Garden is baking devil's double-chocolate-chip cookies; and Cold Pressed Raw will sell raw cold-pressed mylks (almond or green almond) with almond-butter-crunch raw cookies. Mortar & Pistil will provide the milk to go along with your preferred cookie — along with a beverage with a little more kick to accompany your treats.
Organic Sunday Brunch at Dr. Smood
Sure, Sundays are the time to enjoy Sunday brunch with friends, but sometimes you gotta take a health break from the usual bottomless bloody marys and guava French toast. That's why Dr Smood's Wynwood location hosts an organic brunch every third Sunday of the month. This Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., chow down on juices, power salads, and zesty gazpacho while enjoying funky lounge music by Oliver & Kasper. Your mind and body will be detoxed and ready to start the workweek ahead.
