Miami's Best Eats and Drinks This Week: Miami Spice, Harry's Pizzeria on Wheels, and Drag Dinner

There's nothing like a Monday morning to make you hungry for the week, especially when this Monday is the first of many to come during Miami Spice, which began this past Saturday.

If eating and drinking your way through nearly 200 of the city's restaurants doesn't prove to be enough, perhaps a pizza party hosted by Harry's Pizzeria will brighten your week. Or if you're in the mood for a side of drag with your dinner, head to Vaudeville for its weekly hump-day festivities.

Your food week starts now.

Monday

Spice, Spice, Baby
Miami Spice officially began Saturday, and in case you were still too full from Iron Fork to get started on the two-month restaurant promotion, that's what Mondays are for. Whether you're looking for the best lunch deals, new restaurants, eateries in Miami Beach, or desserts, we've got it covered. While you're at it, check out our annual dissection of the best and good Spice menus (and steer clear of the disappointing), courtesy of food critic Zachary Fagenson.

Tuesday

Pizza Party Courtesy of Harry's Pizzeria
Are you a Grovite who's eagerly awaiting the opening of Harry's Pizzeria in the Coconut Grove? Or just a pizza lover looking for an excuse to party? Regardless, it's worth getting excited about Harry's Pizzeria on wheels. Michael Schwartz's Design District joint has gone mobile in anticipation of the opening of his Coconut Grove location. What that means for you: pizza party. But not just any pizza party. A wood-burning, copper-domed pizza oven slinging pies topped with oyster mushroom Taleggio, roasted poblano peppers, and fresh chilies or MGFD bacon fingerling potatoes, caramelized onions, cave-aged Gruyère, and arugula. It's not all pizza and partying, though — there are snacks (Harry's famed meatballs drowned in sauce) and dessert (panna cotta and chocolate chunk cookies). Menus are fully customizable too, so get planning.

Wednesday

Drag Dinner and a Show at Bianca
Ah, Miami summers — a time to step outside and instantly perspire, spend every day perpetually wishing you were at the beach, and dream about Wednesdays' drag dinner and a show. About that last one: It's Bianca's summer weekly installment, and it'll go strong this hump day. In case you're wondering what your evening will look like, it'll go a little something like this: A queen bee and her two other queens will take center stage in the dining room for an interactive burlesque show while you nosh on a three-course Vaudeville-inspired prix fixe. Showtime is 9 p.m., and talent changes weekly. It costs $65 per person.

Thursday

Zest
Pop-Up

It seems like Cindy Hutson's Zest has been almost opening for the past six months, and though it's not fully open for business, you can finally swing by Miami's iconic Southeast Financial Center at 200 S. Biscayne Blvd. during lunchtime, and you might just find a short-rib grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato and kaffir lime soup. In other words, Zest is popping up with a limited menu before officially opening. No notice on how long the lunch magic will stick around. In other words, the time is now.
