New Orleans comes to Wynwood on Tuesday, February 9. From 7 to 11 p.m., snag some beads and listen to live music by Bad Apples Brass Band and Roosevelt Collier’s Big Funk Nasty Getdown with special guests from Spam Allstars, Suenalo, Aaron Lebos Reality, Juke, Electric Kif, and LeeBoys at the Wynwood Yard.
The Yard's Thyme bar will be serving Abita beer, sazeracs, and bourbon — perfect to pair with freshly boiled crawfish. All the Yard's resident culinary concepts are offering Mardi Gras-inspired dishes including Della Test Kitchen, offering plant-based “healthy bowls of happy,” Myumi , the Arabian Knife, and Sakaya Kitchen. Finish your meal with beignets and coffee from Mad Chiller. There are three different ticket options. The Bourbon Street ticket ($25) includes admission, beads, and one drink. The Krewe ticket ($35) includes admission, beads, and one drink, and unlimited crawfish. The Saint ticket ($45) includes admission, beads, one drink, unlimited crawfish, and access to the VIP cash bar.

New Orleans' cocktail culture comes to the Martini Bar at the Raleigh Hotel. Starting tonight, February 8, the retro bar will roll out a drinks menu highlighting the classic cocktails of the Big Easy. Some cocktails on the special menu include traditional drinks like the Hurricane, Vieux Carre. The sophisticated bar will even offer their own (slightly classier) version of the lethal Bourbon Street concoction, the Hand Grenade. The special cocktail menu is offered now through the end of February, and all drinks are $14 each.

On Tuesday, February 9, from 5 to 11 p.m., celebrate Fat Tuesday at Concrete Beach with an authentic crawfish boil ($10), Mardi Gras beads and masks, and live music by Bad Apples Brass Band. If you haven't had a king cake and beer pairing, this is the time to do it with a special cake by La Boulangerie Boul'Mich. Admission is free.

The Fish House is hosting its annual Fat Tuesday extravaganza. On February 9, from 6 p.m. to 11:30, enjoy a party that spills out into the Fish House's parking lot. Thousands of crawfish, flown in from Louisiana for the event, will be sacrificed for the occasion ($15 per pound, two pounds for $25), and three live music stages, indoors and out, will offer live jazz, blues, and zydeco music. The party continues with an oyster roast, king cake, jambalaya, and more authentic dishes. Plenty of beads and fun are guaranteed throughout the night. Admission is free.

Be sure to pick up your king cake at Whole Foods Market ($15). The cake, named after the kings that visited Jesus, is traditionally eaten in the days leading up to lent. The purple, gold, and green cakes usually have a small plastic baby baked into the cake. Legend dictates that the person who gets the baby has to buy the next cake.
The Federal's Crawdaddy Wednesdays
Technically, the Federal's Crawdaddy Wednesdays arrives a day too late for Mardi Gras madness. But, if you're looking to continue the party, head over on Wednesday, February 10, forcrawdaddies . The mudbugs are priced at $15 per pound ($50 for five pounds) and includes 'taters, corn, and andouille sausage. For an additional $20 per person, drink your fill of beer or bubbles. If crawdaddies aren't your thing, peruse the rest of the Cajun menu that includes po ' boys, jambalaya, and fritters. Crawdaddy Wednesdays is held weekly from February 10 through spring.
