Remember when you were a kid and summer meant enjoying a refreshingly cold, tart lemonade after a long, grueling day in the sun?

Now that we're adults, we can enjoy something just as thirst-quenching but even better tasting — a Florida Weisse. These sour beers are a specialty of J. Wakefield Brewing Company, where founder Johnathan Wakefield brews these unique beverages with local tropical fruits, florals, and other tangy ingredients.

The results are zesty, lively beers with fragrant notes, bold colors, and a lip-puckering taste.

This Saturday, Wakefield is releasing its Miami Madness, a Florida Weisse that truly embodies the taste of Miami. The beer, made with a blend of mango, guava, and passion fruit, was rated the number one sour in the world by ratebeer.com in 2013. If you haven't tasted it, Saturday is your chance.

From 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., the brewery will be open to celebrate this special release. Like any good party, Miami Madness is bringing plenty of friends along — 20 different Florida Weisses, to be exact, including beers with hints of blood orange, watermelon, peach, and key lime. For those of you who have a certain taste for nostalgia, there's even a raspberry lemonade Berliner — just like what mom made (if mom owned a kick-ass brewery, that is).

Not into the sours? No problem. Wakefield's tapping a good selection of IPAs, tripels, and browns for your enjoyment too.

If you're hungry, Babe Froman will serve eats from 1 to 6 p.m., with Outside the Box Sandwich Co. taking over from 6 p.m. to until closing.

Beers will be sold on a drink ticket basis ($5 each). Florida Weisses and specialty drafts will be served in eight-ounce cups; core beers will be served in 16-ounce cups. Each cost one drink ticket.

Because of the release party, the brewery will not offer flights, growlers, or tastings on Saturday. All beers will go on tap at 1 p.m. and will be poured until they're gone. Beers will be poured both indoors and outside of the tasting room, with different beers featured at each station. Here's a list of the beers offered at the Miami Madness release party:
