Does the thought of being calling incompetent and stupid on national TV turn you on? Do you enjoy being told repeatedly you are doing it wrong? Like the idea of crying in front of your colleagues? Yes? Then make sure to attend the open casting calls for Hell's Kitchen -- the FOX reality show hosted by tough-love chef Gordon Ramsay -- November 15 and 16 in Miami.
The event will take place at the Hard Rock Cafe at Bayside from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The following day it moves north to FIU's School of Hospitality Management & Tourism in North Miami from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m (building HM 201, room HM 249). Applicants must be 21 years old or older and are encouraged to be "outspoken" and "competitive" -- in other words, if you are an asshole made for reality TV, come on down!
Joking aside, there are a few local success stories from Hell's Kitchen alum: Paula DaSilva is the executive chef over at the newly opened 1500°, and Ralph Pagano recently took over STK Miami. Maybe there is hope for you after all.
