Fresh Market plans a $7 million, 28,000 foot store primarily meant for walk-ins on West Avenue and 18th Street, Globe Street reported this morning. .
The Herald has complained about a cost of $15 for parking in the area, so to solve that, the North Carolina-based chain plans two floors of parking above the place.
It's a direct challenge to the Epicure market and Publix, which are both nearby.
The store is being built by a Deerfield Beach company called Sikon Construction, which has also constructed Publix stores and malls in Palm Beach and Broward counties. Expected completion time: the end of this year.
