Rejoice, lovers of Ethiopian eats! The East African cuisine has finally made its way back to Miami. For a limited time, anyway.

Beginning today, Whole Foods locales statewide are rolling out a hot food lineup featuring Ethiopian cuisine in all its glory. From wats to stews, Ethiopian fare is well represented. Check out the deets after the jump.

The stores' hot bars will feature several wats (AKA stews or curries), including loze wat, a peanut and chicken stew made with onion, garlic, ginger, tomato, and mild Ethiopian peppers and spices; doro wat, a spicy chicken stew with berbere chili powder, black cumin seed, cardamom, and onion; and gomen, collard greens cooked with garlic, ginger, caraway, and cardamom.

They'll also offer kik, a vegetarian yellow split-pea dish with turmeric and fresh ginger; beef mafe, a peanut sauce stew with onions, tomato, potatoes, and African spices; turmeric potatoes with garlic, ginger, and onions; and basmati rice.

And for the vegans out there, they'll serve chickpea stew.

They will not, however, offer injera, which is saddening. Nonetheless, some Ethiopian is better than no Ethiopian, and it's a win that we'll have some mouthwatering African cuisine available someplace closer than Orlando.

Though Ethiopian is first in the lineup, the stores will roll out other ethnic cuisines in the hot bars for the rest of the year. Still up: Korean, Jamaican, and Vietnamese dishes, among others. Ethiopian will be available today, March 3, through Sunday, April 27, so get it while it's hot.
