When Blue Collar chef-owner Daniel Serfer walked into his restaurant this morning, he thought it was just the beginning of another busy day in the life of a small-business owner.
Instead, while setting up, he discovered a curious theft had occurred overnight. All of the chairs from his patio had been stolen. Not the tables. Just the chairs.
"At the end of the night, we stack the outdoor chairs up and put them in an area in the back of the restaurant, along with the tables," Serfer explains. "The gate is pretty high and it's always locked. When I came in this morning, the chairs were all gone -- but the tables are still there."
Serfer says he spent the morning "scrambling" to replace the 16 missing chairs. "It's crazy."
Serfer, who tweeted that his chairs are gone, is offering a reward for information leading to the return of the missing seats. "I'll make dinner for the person, along with seven of their friends, who leads me to the chairs."
Asked what's going on aside from the seating issues, Serfer says he's working on some dinners to be announced shortly. In the meantime, if you have any information about the chairs, please call Serfer at the restaurant at 305-756-0366.
