The new location marks the Beverly Hills-based company's first Florida store. The brand is known for featuring up to 130 candies from around the world — three-quarters of which aren't available anywhere else in the U.S.
Sugarfina
"We created Sugarfina because the candy store of our dreams didn’t exist," says O’Neill. "We wanted gourmet sweets made with premium ingredients — candy that's as beautiful to look at as it is to taste."
In 2012, Sugarfina began selling its curated collection of confections online. The website offered premium candies made with the finest ingredients, sourced directly from artisan candy makers around the globe. Thanks to rapid growth, Sugarfina opened its first retail store in Beverly Hills in 2013 and is expected to have 16 retail locations across the U.S. by July 2016.
Named one of the ten most beautiful candy shops by Architectural Digest, Sugarfina’s newest Florida outpost features a signature aqua door with a custom antique bronze door handle and an aqua neon "candy" sign, as well as statement wall art of handmade white paper flowers.
Customers can choose from hundreds of candies displayed in lucite cubes. A popular pick is Bubbly Bears, champagne-infused gummy bears imported from Germany, dusted in sweet and tart sugar crystals and made from real Dom Pérignon.
Other exotic candies from around the world include Raindrops & Roses from Italy, Kyoto Blossoms from Japan, and interlocking chocolate wedding
The Aventura shop also features the brand's signature Candy Bento Boxes, bright blue gift boxes that allow customers to create their own gift-wrapped selection of candies. A design-your-own bento box wall will allow guests to select an empty eight-, four-, or three-piece box for unique pairings complete with a tasting menu offering detailed notes on each candy.
