According to an Open Table survey recently published, 51 percent of respondents plan to head out to a restaurant for a romantic Valentine's Dinner.
Most every Miami spot is planning a decadent multi-course extravaganza (and we've got a great list of fantastic options). Before you sit down to your meal of foie gras mousse and lobster tails, consider enjoying one (or more) of these sexy cocktails as you gaze into your lover's eyes. On a budget but want to take your honey someplace nice? Skip the schmancy meal altogether and cozy up at the bar.
We chose these drinks for their ingredients (some are laced with hot peppers or cinnamon to get the blood flowing), their names, and their drinkability. But hurry, because many of these cocktails...like some romances....are fleeting (they're only available for Valentine's Day).

The X-Rated Martini at Devon Seafood & Steak
Skyy Vodka, X-Rated Fusion Liqueur, grapefruit juice, and cranberry juice combine into one hot cocktail ($10).
The Purple Rain at Juvia
When sipping on this drink, made with Grey Goose vodka, fresh lemon juice, and a housemade "Chica Morada" syrup made with corn, pineapple, cinnamon and star
anise, you'll channel more rain forest than Prince movie, we assure you. We suggest starting your evening on Juvia's terrace as the sun sets over Miami to ensure a magical V-Day ($16).
The Fever at Haven
Is it hot in here or is it just us? Haven's Fever, made with Grey Goose poire, jalapeno, lychee, and pear prosecco is a little sweet, a little spicy, with a touch of bubbles ($15).
The Red Hot Passion at Hakkasan
This cocktail is lovingly made with muddled green apple, Stoli white pomegranate, agave nectar, lemon, and pomegranate, then topped with fresh grated cinnamon to put a slight tingle on your lips ($20).
Passion Pisco Sour at 1500 Degrees at Eden Roc
Passion, thy name is pisco! Made with Capel pisco, fresh lime juice, passion fruit puree, and frothed egg white. It's love, South American style ($14).
The Valentine's Day Cocktail at Makoto
This special cocktail is made specially for the sweetest day of the year. Tequila, sweet agave nectar, blood orange, chartreuse, lemon juice and orange bitters are combined to make a unique sweet and savory drink ($14).
The Love Unit at Hyde Beach at the SLS Hotel South Beach
Sweet, savory, and spicy have a threesome in a glass at Hyde Beach this Valentine's Day. Thai basil, Stoli vanilla, freshly squeezed lime, grapefruit, and hand extracted bell pepper juices are combined for a fresh and unique taste ($18).
Spiked Milkshake for Two at STK Miami
Chocolate on V-Day is romantic. A spiked chocolate milkshake made for sharing is downright sexy. STK's milkshake
platter includes a Baileys and Chocolate shake (with two straws), accompanied
by a spicy fudge brownie and a white chocolate raspberry blondie. Decadence in a glass ($12).
Berry Encucumbered Refresher and Heart Shaped Sushi at RA Sushi
If your date is a complete romantic, get them to RA Sushi for a love overdose. Pink, heart-shaped sushi rolls filled with crab mix, cucumber, and topped with strawberries surround a lobster salad in their LOVE of Lobster dish ($10). Pair with their Encucumbered cocktail made with Effen vodka, Absolut citron, Cointreau, cucumber, and strawberry ($8) for the pinkest pairing in town. Available Feburary14 - 17 only.
The Elderflower Champagne at Tosca
What's Valentine's Day without Champagne? Up the ante at Tosca with their Elderflower cocktail, made with Champagne, vodka, lemon sorbet, pressed white grapes and elderflower perfume ($19).
