Police work doesn't get much luckier then when a suspect literally falls to your feet. That's what happened to Alex David McBride when he attempted to break into a CVS in Melbourne, Florida this morning.

Melbourne Police got a report of a break-in attempt at a local CVS at about 1:30 a.m. this weekend. McBride, 28, had apparently shifted some of the tiles in the ceiling of the pharmacy pick-up lane and had attempted to crawl into the pharmacy through the ceiling. Officers could see tiles moving and waited for McBride.

"While securing the perimeter and waiting for the K9 officer, the burglar fell through the drive-thru hatch and down to the officers waiting below," reads the arrest report.

Yep, he literally fell through the ceiling to an officer's feet.

At the time McBride was wearing gloves and a ski-mask and was carrying a bag of burglary tools and prescription pills.

McBride was quickly arrested without further incident.
