Donna Shalala hasn't even left yet, but already the University of Miami's party school reputation is back. Playboy released its list of the top ten party schools this year, and the University of Miami comes in at number seven.

Playboy says it considered a number of factors this year including, "access to nightlife and musical events, and creativity when planning social gatherings. Information from the National Center for Education Statistics, the NCAA, and the US Economic Census was also considered."
Here's the top ten:
1. University of Pennsylvania
2. University of Wisconsin
3. West Virginia University
4. University of Arizona
5. University of Iowa
6. University of California, Santa Cruz
7. University of Miami
8. Colorado State University
9. University of Texas
10. Syracuse University
Despite misconceptions, Playboy has only been compiling a semi-regular list of party schools since 2006. The University of Miami topped the list in 2009 but had fallen off in recent years. This year it's back in the mix.
Of course, the school isn't a traditional party school. It's a relatively small private school without a particularly notorious frat culture. Campus is also notably quiet on weekends.
However, students have access to party hot spots like South Beach and Coconut Grove, and yearly events like Ultra Music Festival. So it definitely excels in the "access to nightlife and musical events" category.
