Back in July, the Feds indicted Hassan Saied Keshari and Traian Bujduveanu with charges that the two were illegally exporting military aircraft to Iran. The pair were involved in a scheme that bought American made planes and parts for fighter jets, and then sold them for profit in Iran, funneling them in through the United Arab Emirates. Both faced up to 40 years in prison, and fines totalling more than $1,000,000.

Yesterday, Keshari plead guilty, and now faces up to five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

Bujduveanu operated Orion Aviation Corp. out of Plantation, Fl. Keshari recieved orders for the planes from Iran, and then contacted Bujduveanu and other suppliers in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Kesari then made the arrangements to transport the planes to Iran.

Bujduveanu will face a trial in May in the Southern District of Florida federal court.
