Brave Floridians of every stripe of ignorance went to the polls last November and banned any practical, legal recognition of gay relationship forever... or at least until society evolves beyond its prejudices, which history shows it tends to do. The gays can marry in Iowa and Vermont now, so it's only a matter of time. Some dumb ad from a group called National Organization for Marriage is making the blog rounds today (watch the vaguely hurricane-themed spot after the jump). The group's official abbreviation is NOM. Apparently, folks there are not aware that nom is something of an Internet meme, and when you Google Image Search the word, this is one of the first pictures that comes up (from LOLBlog). It really just makes you want to protect the sanctity of marriage, doesn't it?
