Garrett has now been placed on the injured reserve list after suffering a laceration to his hand that required three stitches. The Marlins are flying him down to Miami to have the injury checked out.
The reason: Naylor, 18, played a "knife prank" on Garrett, 20, at their shared apartment.
The team remains tightlipped about the exact details of the prank. Michael Hill, the Marlins' president of baseball operations, tells the Sun-Sentinel: "Naylor has a reputation of being a bit of a prankster, but this one obviously went a little too far."

In any event, the Marlins aren't sure how long the gash will keep Garrett out of the game, but they're hopeful that it won't be too long and that the injury won't have any effect on Garrett's game.
Either way, it's a tough break for Garrett. He had just recovered from a back injury he sustained earlier this year.
