Miami-Dade Police are on the lookout for a nicotine-addicted neck-stabber who attacked one of his own.

On January 5 around 6 a.m., a man walked up to Miami-Dade Department of Corrections officer Jorge Marbal in the area of 6215 SW 133rd Ave. He asked the officer for a cigarette and spare change. Marbal refused, and the man went wild.

Marbal turned to walk away, but the man took out a sharp object and stabbed him in the neck. The two struggled, but ultimately the man took off on foot.

Police released the above sketch of the assailant.
