As the great Goddess Aaliyah once said, "If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again." And that's exactly what a bank robber did this morning in record time. After failing to rob one bank in downtown Miami, he just walked down the street and hit up another.
The suspect walked into First Bank of Miami at 235 E First Street a little after 9 a.m. according to CBS Miami. He slipped the teller a note demanding cash. The teller decided to tell a little lie and told the robber that the bank wasn't yet officially open for business so he couldn't access any cash.
So the suspect walked out, but he wasn't finished. He decided to try again and didn't walk far. He walked over to Regions Bank at 265 E First Street. To give you an idea of how close the banks are here's a screenshot from Google street view. The red arrow point to the First Bank of Miami sign. The purple arrow points to the green ATM right outside Regions.
Literally two minutes later he walked into the Regions and attempted the same stunt. This time he was successful. He walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash. If he hadn't, who knows whether or not he would have tried to hit up the SunTrust, Citibank or the Bank of America that are also in the general vicinity.
