Roger Perry does not seem like a nice man. The 53-year-old tried to check out with full basket of groceries in the express lane, and then when another man pointed out he was in the wrong lane, Perry allegedly hit him so hard he ended up in a coma.

Perry then ran away, but police finally caught up with him yesterday.

The incident went down on December 1 at the M & L Food Market located at 7446 Collins Ave. in Miami Beach. Mohammed A. Hussein, who is 58, noticed that Perry was checking out in the wrong lane and confronted him about it.

Perry kept unloading his groceries, but the argument escalated. Security footage then shows a man believed to be Perry backhanding Hussein. Hussein fell to the ground and injured his head and ended up unconscious.

Perry then fled the store.

Meanwhile, Hussein was taken to Ryder Medical Center. He was diagnosed with bleeding of the brain and remains in a coma at Jackson Memorial.

Police tracked down Perry last night in Palm Beach where he was charged with felony battery.
