At least one person in LeBron James's inner circle wasn't thrilled with his decision to "take his talents to South Beach": Savannah Brinson, his longtime lady love and mother of his two sons. She's not worried about James ruining his legacy, the Heat unfairly reshaping the NBA, or hometown loyalty (if she does, she's not saying). She just sees Miami as more of a vacation spot and not really a place to live.
"Personally, Miami was not my favorite place. Vacationing there is great: You go for three days and get some sun, and it's time to go home," she tells noted sports bible Harper's Bazaar
Come on, Savannah, look on the bright side. Now you can get some sun pretty much every day it's not raining. It's great down here. And look how well the move to Miami worked out for Siohvaughn Wade and Shaunie O'Neal. Oh, wait, please don't.
We might also one day see LeBron's sons -- LeBron Jr., 5, and Bryce Maximus, 3 -- play high school basketball down here. LeBron wants the two to follow in his Nike-clad footsteps.
"Well, like any father, I would hope that they would follow in my footsteps. That would be a great story - -and as a father, I would be on cloud nine every day. Ultimately, though, only the big man above knows their future. They do have lots of talent, though," James says.
As for whether Savannah will ever make an honest man out of LeBron: "I would never rush him to do something like that. We're really comfortable with the way things are now. And it's not up to me. When it happens, it happens. We talk about it. If we do it, I want it to be forever," she says.
Maybe they can have a triple wedding with Dwyane Wade/Gabrielle Union and Chris Bosh/whomever he wifes up and then air it in a one-hour special on ESPN.
