Just Yesterday, we were talking about a Joe Scarborough Senate run in 2010. And why not? If Charlie Crist doesn't run, former Rep. Joe "I Have a TeeVee Show" Scarborough sounds just as good or better than Connie "Hey, Remember my Dad?" Mack IV, Vern "Not Katherine Harris" Buchanan, and Marco "Check Out My Hair" Rubio.
White House Press Secretary seemed to have the same thing on his mind, and while pulling guest duties on Scarborough's "Morning Joe" show on MSNBC today he asked the talking head if he indeed had his eyes on the senate seat.
"I don't really think it would be good to run in 2010 with a party that is actively associating itself with the Taliban," replied Scarborough. Politico has the video.
He was referring to recent remarks by Texas Rep. Pete Sessions.
Insurgency we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban. And that is that they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person's entire processes. And these Taliban -- I'm not trying to say the Republican Party is the Taliban -- no, that's not what we're saying.
Seriously though, Joe. Your party needs you. Clearly they're in desperate need of someone who can put together sentences that actually make sense, and considering that's more or less what you get paid to do, you seem like an awfully good candidate.
