Yesterday we half-wondered if a poll that showed Herman Cain once again leading the GOP pack in Florida was something of an outlier. Well, now a new Quinnipiac poll released this morning and conducted from October 31st to November 7th shows that despite new news of Cain's habit of settling sexual harassment suits, he's still the one to beat in the Sunshine State. Though, only Mitt Romney can beat President Obama.
Here are the numbers from the new Q Poll:
- Perry - 5 %
- Gingrich - 17 %
- Romney - 21%
- Bachmann - 4%
- Santorum - 1%
- Paul - 3%
- Huntsman - 1%
- Cain - 27%
Those numbers are pretty similar to yesterday's Rassmussen poll.
If the election came down to just Cain and Romney, Cain would win with 45 percent to Romney's 39 percent.
Though, if Romney were to take on Obama, he'd beat the president in Florida 45 to 42.
Cain would lose to Obama 45 to 41.
No other candidates lead Obama in a head-to-head matchup.
