Many promising young high school football athletes in Miami-Dade dream of some day dawning the orange and green of the University of Miami. Evidently very few dare dream of putting on the orange and blue of Gainesville, as the Gators haven't been able to get a Miami-Dade player to sign since 2005.

Well, that's changed as Coral Gables-Ransom Everglades LB Giden Ajagbe has committed to Urban Meyer and his Gators, according to Rivals.com. Two national championships in three years will tend to do that.

What's made UM so great in the past is their strong ability to recruit the best-of-the-best HS players in South Florida. Now, more than ever they'll have to protect the home base. Which, best case scenario, involves a stellar season next year, or second best case scenario, the total implosion of the Gators.
