It seemed like a reasonable enough criminal master plan: Break into a bagel shop and make off with the cash register and all of that precious, green money inside. Well, now Erica Denise Phillips sits behind bars for a crime that wasn't worth it. There was only a single, shiny quarter inside the register. That's not even enough to pay for her phone call home.

Phillips, 28, might not have acted alone. John Victor Harrington, 51, is also believed to be involved, but no charges have been filed yet, according to the Gainesville Sun.

Phillips says she drove Harrington to the Bagel Bakery on Monday. He broke into the store and swiped the cash register. She is then believed to have searched the register, only to find the 25-cent piece.

However, just because they hauled away only a quarter doesn't mean they'll evade grand theft charges. The cash register itself was worth $800.

Phillips has been charged with burglary and grand theft.
