Florida Man Nicknamed "Murder" With "Murder" Neck Tattoo Charged With Murder

A lot of odd things happen in Florida every week. On Friday, we're here to bring you the oddest. This week: a man nicknamed "Murder" carries out his destiny, a stripper finds a novel use for a shirt, and a man kills his brother over a cheeseburger. 
Man Nicknamed "Murder" Who Had "Murder" Tattooed on His Neck Arrested for Murder
Courtney Lawrence was his real name, but most people who knew him in Bradenton called him "Murder." 

The 27-year-old had never murdered anyone before, at least as far as police know. He had been convicted on multiple armed robbery charges and other assorted charges before and served time. In fact, he had gotten out of his latest stint in jail only last August 26. 

Well, last week Lawrence was one of a handful of men who took part in a home invasion in Manatee County. The 38-year-old homeowner was armed and exchanged gunfire with the robbers. During the shootout, the homeowner, Lawrence, and one of his accomplices, Emanuel Johnson, were injured.  

Moments after the chaos, the homeowner's wife returned with their two children from a 7-Eleven. The others fled, but Johnson was left behind. He later died.

Lawrence was later found at a local hospital. He was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery. Police are still on the lookout for the other men.
Man Kills Brother Over Cheeseburger
Twenty-five-year-old St. Cloud resident Benjamin Middendorf called police on himself. He reported he had just shot his brother. His mother could be heard in the background of the 911 call screaming, "My son just shot my son. How dare you, Benjamin!"

When police arrived, there was no way they could have guessed what had prompted the argument. 

The 28-year-old brother and the mother had just returned from a bar. Middendorf, who claimed he doesn't drink, said he and his brother then got into an argument over a cheeseburger. He said he couldn't remember anything after that. 

Paramedics were unable to save the brother. He died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. 

Middendorf was charged with first-degree murder. His 9mm pistol was found at the scene. 
Stripper Tries to Eat Shirt to Avoid DUI
ZyZe McCausland seems to think strip club security has higher authority than a local police officer. Even in Florida, that's not true. 

The 26-year-old was behind the wheel and almost hit another car while exiting a restaurant parking lot around 2 a.m. last Sunday morning. When police pulled McCausland over on suspicion of DUI, she first tried to wake her sleeping front-seat passenger. When that didn't work, she just made a run for it. 

An officer quickly caught up to her, and McCausland yelled, "You'll be sorry!" 

She then told the officer to call a bar owned by some guy named Rick. She explained the security staff would tell the police not to arrest her. Unfortunately for McCausland, that's not how it works. She later said she worked at a strip club on Duval Street. 

When taken to jail, McCausland was told not to put anything in her mouth because she was to undergo a DUI test. She then promptly stuffed her shirt in her mouth and began chewing. The DUI test was canceled, but she was charged with drunk driving and trying to flee police.
