If you're over the age of 21, you likely haven't heard of Jerome Jarre. He's a Frenchman who has amassed more than 7.5 million followers on six-second video network Vine thanks to his pranks, but earlier this week one such prank attempted aboard an airplane landed him in trouble when he arrived at Miami International Airport.
One of Jarre's favorite genres of prank is "wearing a Speedo in public," because clearly that's the cutting edge of comedy and has nothing at all to do with the fact that most of his followers are thirsty, hormonal teenage girls. So on American Airlines Flight 1303 from Mexico to Miami, Jarre headed to the lavatory and changed into a Speedo and an inflatable turtle-shaped pool ring. He then pranced down the aisle in the getup.
One particular cabin crew member did not find the incident hilarious and approached Jarre to tell him he was not allowed to videotape. What happened next is still questionable, but Jarre claims he was escorted off the flight once it arrived in Miami by 11 police officers, threatened with arrest, and interviewed by the FBI.
Before the flight landed, Jarre tweeted out a plea to his more than 16,000 Twitter followers.

The BBC reached out to police at MIA, who confirmed that Jarre was detained and questioned but not arrested. The FBI did not comment. American Airlines added that no charges were filed.
"Speedos may look good at the beach, but no one wants to see them dancing in the aisle at 35,000 feet," a rep for the airline said.
Jarre's footage survived, which he promptly uploaded to YouTube. He was allowed to continue his travels to Brazil.
