The Miami Dolphins have signed a one-year deal with controversial guard Richie Incognito, who was released late last year by the Rams. The deal is worth a little more than $1 million to the player with a suspiciously comic book villain-esque name.
The Nebraska grad comes with a bit of baggage and a reputation for being one of the dirtiest players in the league. Sports Illustrated named him the seventh dirtiest in a poll of NFL players, and the Sporting News gave him top honors in a similar poll. He racked up a string of NFL fines, which led to the Rams' releasing him.
Of course, the Dolphins have some experience with controversial players, having just parted ways with Joey Porter, who bested Incognito in the the SI poll.
