If you see ghosts and goblins flying around town tonight, don't be alarmed. Demonic spirits haven't slipped out of Hell and stolen hipsters' fixies. Instead, it's just a special Halloween edition of Critical Mass.
That's right. The year's most frightening holiday happens to fall on the last Friday of the month, and Critical Mass organizers have encouraged cyclists to don costumes. There will also be a free party for the peloton in Wynwood.
Bikers be brave. Drivers beware. And vice versa.
Tonight's mass will leave from Government Center at 7:15 and head west through Little Havana. Cyclists will curl around Grapeland Heights before angling north through Allapattah and back east to Wynwood.

The ride is 14 miles long and should last about an hour.
Cyclists are encouraged to wear costumes, but organizers also issued the following warning:
If your costume requires a mask or other face covering, you must be able to see clearly and breathe easily at all times. Make sure your costume will not get caught in the wheels, gears, or pedals. Be certain your costume is not a hazard to others. Safety first!
As always, kids under 16 are required to wear helmets. All cyclists are asked to use lights, stick to the right lane, and stay with the peloton.
Please leave the drinking until after the ride. For that purpose, there will be a special Halloween Block Party in Wynwood complete with costume contest, DJs, food trucks, and a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. See here for more details.
