Charlie Crist has only been running for governor for 12 days, but he's already raised nearly $900,000. And according to the first poll released since his announcement, he has a 10-point lead over incumbent Rick Scott.
According to a Gravis Marketing poll, Crist would beat Scott 46 to 36. The poll was taken from November 8th to the 10th, and surveyed 932 random registered voters.
Forty-six percent Crist understands average Floridians better, while only 33 percent said the same of Scott. When asked whether who would be more likely to stop and help them if they got a flat tire (yes, and odd question), 42 percent said neither, 36 percent said Crist and only 22 percent said Scott.
Meanwhile, the poll found Floridians approve of medical marijuana 45 to 41 percent.
Forty-eight percent said Florida should not cooperate with Obamacare compared to 43 who said the state should.
Forty-two percent said Florida should restrict gun rights, while 36 said they should be expanded.
Forty-five percent said Florida should allow gay marriage, but 43 percent still opposes it.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of Floridians remain undecided as to whether they'd vote for incumbent Attorney General Pam Bondi or either of her two Democratic challengers, which isn't good news for Bondi, as the vast majority of Floridians say they have no idea who those challengers, Perry Thurston and George Sheldon, are.
