Thing is -- the government should give up. Now.

Not only is the case built on sand....as New Times columnist Bob Norman recently showed, the two informants are gutter scum...but the alleged crimes of this group aren't crimes at all. They are just blather.

We are far enough away from the 2001 bombings that the lessons are learned -- at least by the general populace. The Bush administration -- and new attorney general Michael Mukasey should acknowledge this by dropping the prosecution of these six bozos once and for all.
