Attention all unsigned hip-hop artists, producers, and songwriters: your big break is finally here. Maybe.
The AAMC was created by veterans of the hip-hop industry to connect with everyone involved with the industry who just hasn't gotten lucky yet, from artists and producers, to labels and lawyers.
The conference will kick off Saturday at 11 a.m. with the opportunity
to have a on-one-on session with a record label executive. Participants
are encouraged to bring the music that best represents their vision,
with the head honchos providing feedback. The rest of the day will be
dedicated to seminars to school the musicians on everything about being
big in hip-hop, from the current state of the industry to viral videos.
If
the talent is more of a live performer, then about 3 minutes of their
musical genius will be showcased on Sunday in an "American Idol"-type
set-up at Mansion Nightclub. At night, party away the stress at the
official AAMC after-party, also at the club.
The opportunity for
a big break comes at a price - $235 if you register before July 26, to
be exact. But what's the price of fame?
