Ultra 2016 General-Admission Tickets Down in Price From Last Year

Did you go so hard during Ultra 2015 that you just now woke up? Oh man, you really went for it, huh?

Don’t worry. It’s going to be OK. We’ll fill you in on what you missed.

Miley Cyrus has basically been naked since you lost consciousness, Kim Kardashian tried to break the internet with her butt, things are still the opposite of chill in the Middle East, none of us ended up getting ebola, police have been incredibly kind and empathetic to black people (just kidding), we can go to Cuba now, and Donald Trump might be your next president.

Sorry to dump all that on you at once.

But here’s a bit of good news for you: Ultra 2016 is around the corner, and you’ll be able to buy your tickets starting on Tuesday, September 29, at 1 p.m.

Early-bird tickets will start at $299.95 plus fees and taxes, and those will be available only on a first-come, first-served basis to people who register at ultramusicfestival.com/tickets before 12:01 a.m. September 28.

And if you’re a flashy person with Champagne wishes and caviar dreams or if you just stumbled across a suitcase full of money like Josh Brolin in No Country for Old Men, you can get a VIP ticket for $1,249.95.

For all you late birds, three-day general-admission tickets will be available for $324.95 plus fees and taxes, which — as Ultra points out in a news release — is  cheaper than the $449.95 (after fees and taxes) 2014 GA ticket, which was — as Ultra also pointed out in a news release last year — “nearly $50 less than the 2014 event.”

At this rate, Ultra will be paying you to attend in 2038, when the headliner will be Skrillex Jr. and the Carl Cox tent will cater exclusively to ravers over 65 with hip-hop dysplasia.

There will be a payment plan option available for general-admission tickets. Here are the dates Ultra gave for those:

• Initial Payment – before November 15
  
• 2nd payment – November 15
  
• 3rd payment – December 15
  
• 4th payment – January 15
  
• Final payment – February 15 
  

The festival will also take place a week earlier than normal this year, from March 18 to 20. And it, thankfully, remains an 18-and-older event. The lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted when it comes out.
