Electro-rock remix superstar Tommie Sunshine has one of the most formidable resumés in music, but 'tis beauty that whips this beast. Sunshine — a ZZ Top look-alike, with his long, scraggly beard and Cousin It hair — has remixed them all, like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Good Charlotte, Ladytron, Avril Lavigne, and Gang of Four, to name just one eclectic handful.
As a member of Thee Maddkatt Courtship with Felix Da Housecat, he coproduced "Cosmic Pop" for FFRR/London Records before going on to co-write three songs with Felix and Miss Kittin for Felix's lauded Kittinz & the Glitz LP. On top of that, Sunshine is often tapped to write background music. His credits in that space include Versace, Blockbuster, and the CBS show Without a Trace.
So, class, what does success of this magnitude always lead to? That's right, drug and alcohol abuse! But — if you believe all the lovey-dovey shit on his MySpace pages — this dude's life was saved by the love of a good (and smoking-hot) woman, one Daniela Morselli, an Italian artist. She has become a Yoko to Sunshine's John Lennon — on and on they swoon for each other all over the net, writing I-heart-yous and junk everywhere.
Here, you know you want a sample:
"I am the luckiest man alive. I do what I love, love what I do, and am in love with the best woman who has ever lived. My Jane, my Yoko, my everything, I am her foreverman."
Must ... reach ... toilet ... in time.
