DWNTWN Miami Concert Series: Domino Saints. With 2NYCE, Cecy B., and a special dance performance from Marquese Scott. Friday, May 10, 8 p.m., Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, 174 E. Their tracks are anything but saintly, but the way in which Domino Saints perfectly fuse elements of reggaeton, hop-hop, pop, and EDM to create mind-blowing, explosive music must be heaven sent.
Mike Shannon. With Alejandro Sab. Friday, May 10, 10 p.m., The Vagabond, 30 NE 14th St., Miami; 305-379-0508; thevagabondmiami.com. $10. Much like King Midas, any track Mike Shannon lays his hands on turns into gold. Techno gold, that is.
Sirens & Sealions. With Tigerweather and Socrates Perez. Friday, May 10, 10 p.m., Will Call, 700 NE Second Ave., Miami; 305-577-5900; willcallmiami.com. Free. If there were ever a soundtrack for the happy things in life like frolicking in the sand, watching the sky turn shades of orange, purple, and red as the sun fades beneath the horizon, and free tacos (because who doesn't love free tacos), it would be the music of Sirens & Sealions.
Satva Caine. With Gray 8's and Las Tias. Saturday, May 11, 10 p.m., Kill Your Idol, 222 Española Way, Miami Beach; 305-534-1009. Free. A little bit of folk and a whole lotta rock -- that's how the guys of Satva Caine roll.
Bachaco. Saturday, May 11, The Goose, 3008 Grand Ave., Coconut Grove; 305-529-6498; gooselounge.com. Free. "Cumbia pa' la nena" anyone? That's what the dudes of Bachaco will be bringing to the Goose. Their combo of reggae, ska, and, of course, cumbia, will have you "Feeling Good" all night.
Kitsuné Club Night. With Fred Falke. Saturday, May 11, 11 p.m., The Garret at Grand Central; 697 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-377-2277; grandcentralmiami.com. $10. The French DJ/producer/music-industry genius has been in the business for almost 30 years. He's worked with pop stars Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, and Ke$ha, but he's also managed to stick to his indie roots. Anyone who can go mainstream while staying low-key is a certified EDM badass.
Bird Bash 1.5. With Deaf Poets, Spam AllStars, Eagle Chief, and DJs Contra, Damion Yancy, Haitian Hillbilly, Louie Arson, Sharpsound, and Patrick Walsh. Saturday, May 11, 5 p.m., Blackbird Ordinary, 729 SW First Ave., Miami; 305-671-3307; blackbirdordinary.com. Free. Blackbird's celebrating a year and a half of shenanigans and debauchery with an all-day bash including open bar from 5 to 6 p.m., food, carnival games, a dunk tank, and live performances by Deaf Poets, Spam AllStars, and other bands of that ilk. Oh, and it's free. We'll drink to that!
Oriente. Sunday, May 12, 9 p.m., Upstairs at the Van Dyke Cafe, 846 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach; 305-534-3600; thevandykecafe.com. $7. Oriente mates the worlds of Afro-Cuban funk and New Orleans jazz to create a sound they call "Afro-Cubano seduced by New Orleans soul." The result: Smooth vibrations even Mom will enjoy on her special day.
Karaoke Night. Sunday, May 12, 9 p.m., Titanic, 5813 Ponce de Leon, Coral Gables; 305-668-1742; titanicbrewery.com. Free. You're a star and you know it. Now if only the rest of the world would recognize your amazing set of pipes, you'd be set. Until then, you'll just have to stick to singin' the karaoke blues.
