We reminisced about all those late-night throwdowns with homies like ¡Mayday!, N.O.R.E., and the Rising crew. We remembered our Skate Amigos, booze crew, and party people. And eventually, we got so emotional that we ended up at the corner of Eighth Street and SW First Avenue in the middle of the night, pouring a 40 on the curb in honor of this lost spot.

But then we remembered: There's still a month till it's all over. And the long goodbye starts tonight with a free Fader Magazine and Vitamin Water showcase starring Opa-Locka's own Brisco, plus Rye Rye and Young Breed.

Officially, the RSVP list is closed. But c'mon, kid ... This is Miami. Go hustle a little. If you've got Brisco's home number, call him. Or drop a c-note at the doorman's feet. For our part, we'll be hitting the streets, trying to scam our way past security, and maybe even hopping the concrete wall into Transit's backyard.

But if we get stuck outside on the curb ... Fuck it. We'll just crack another 40, soak the sidewalk, and say our goodbyes that way.

Vitamin Water's Uncapped with Brisco, Rye Rye, and Young Breed. Thursday, April 21. Transit Lounge, 729 SW First Ave., Miami. The party starts at 8 p.m. and ends at 11. Call 305-377-4628 or visit transitlounge.us.
